- Standard 2% "Raise" annually, no matter what your senior manager promises to bump your pay to and "take care of you" for taking over a new department.
-On Call responsibilities, every other week was a joke, saw my family for a couple hours a week at best as i was REQUIRED to work a MINIMUM of 65 hours each week outside of my on call responsibilities, my manager actually congratulated me on my first 150 hour paycheck, told me it showed how much of a good employee i was for picking up the slack. overtime was the only way to make any real money at this company with the dinky salary that was offered.
-Got pulled into a meeting with my senior management staff and was told that because of my lack of focus and drive (wife had gotten job and i had cut my hours down to only 45 a week and regular on call duties) if i want a job i either have to decide that my employment is more important of that my family will take precedence, i chose the latter and immediately got moved from the department i had built from the ground up only to be expected to run my new position and still carry the other five employees in my old department. definitely an eye opener as to what really is important in a job.
