Pros

Independance. Able to come and go for the most part. This is great as long as things run smoothly.

Cons

Beware when they ask you to " be a team player " or " step up to the plate " On call 24 / 7. Managers would pile the workload on even against their own Operations Manual. Every time my area manager was gone the regional manager starts calling for favors and he knew I was busy. He had me going so fast mistakes were made.Top it off, other aircraft was sent to me from other bases, fresh from inspections and defects so bad the pilots would ground it instantly. There were days I inspected or repaired up to 5 aircraft. THIS BECAME COMMON. When I compained, I was told to just be quiet and fix them. I was wrote up and fired for being unprofessional. The next week my area manager was gone. Our family sold our home and relocate at great expense and won't recover the losses for years. I still kick myself for being so gullible. I have never lost a job in my life but if you pisss off the wrong person here you will. I have no idea what I did even today?

Pros

Only pro was the hiring process which consisted of two interviews and then an offer. That should have been the first red flag.

Cons

Private Equity controlled organization. No onboarding process or training provided. You are sent to their HQ for two days of learning how to turn your computer on and how to open a couple of computer applications. They are looking for a zero to hero hire. Be prepared. Tumultuous with lots of turnover. Was told this was a career-long role and in a couple of short months, the CEO was fired, the VP of sales took off. New executive leadership team created an environment of fear and layoffs. Lots of huge egos and very little tolerance for questioning poor business decisions and strategies. No attention given to the voice of the customer and what would strategically help move the needle. It really gives off the odor of a company trying to be sold.
