Pros

This is a VERY easy job. The pay is fairly good and in my opinion, the 401K is great, particularly for those who can afford to participate at a high rate. The helicopters are in good shape. These are why I hold my nose and recommend this jobs for my friends.

Cons

I am personally embarrassed by this company's greed. The tomorrow that they are defending is their fiduciary responsibility to the major investor's desire to see tomorrow's AIRM share price rise. I feel sorry for the customers who do not need a $45K fifteen mile helicopter ride because one of our business managers convinced a first responder to call us even though we are clearly not medically indicated. On top of that, by waiting for the helicopter on such a short haul patient care is actually delayed! Plain and simply greed. In the low income rural area where I am based there is a growing dislike of our service because of the HUGE bills and unnecessary flights.

Pros

Only pro was the hiring process which consisted of two interviews and then an offer. That should have been the first red flag.

Cons

Private Equity controlled organization. No onboarding process or training provided. You are sent to their HQ for two days of learning how to turn your computer on and how to open a couple of computer applications. They are looking for a zero to hero hire. Be prepared. Tumultuous with lots of turnover. Was told this was a career-long role and in a couple of short months, the CEO was fired, the VP of sales took off. New executive leadership team created an environment of fear and layoffs. Lots of huge egos and very little tolerance for questioning poor business decisions and strategies. No attention given to the voice of the customer and what would strategically help move the needle. It really gives off the odor of a company trying to be sold.
