Pros
Large Aircraft design & build opportunities. Good career progress for self driven individuals. Airbus in the UK employs world class engineers (evident when dealing with subcontract houses & Teir 1 suppliers). Generally good work life balance, i.e. little pressure on when holidays should be taken.
Cons
lack or "care" for employees, massive differences in treatment of employees between sites, some of these are perceived, some are real (i.e french contract employees don't take xmas holidays out of allowance). Slightly less self driven or pushy individuals can be "forgotten" doing a good & steady job.. you have to push for opportunities. Government politics play too much of a role in the company.
