Pros

Good pay but you'll work 12-14 hour days to get it. Vacation pay even though the vacation rate was cut.

Cons

I became an Airgas employee when Air Liquide merged with Airgas. Since the merger, Airgas has made this an undesirable place to work. They cut the 401k down to a 2% match, some former Air Liquide employees were making up to 9% match depending on longevity. That's roughly a $3000 cut in pay. They also cut health benefits, AL used to contribute $1000 annually to an individual, $2500 to a family's HSA, Airgas contributes nothing. Their health insurance is also more expensive. Morale is at a all time low. When Airgas took over the workload went up. If you're a driver you will have no life outside of work here. You'll work nights and weekends for years and 12-14 hour days almost everyday. If you're a driver get used to cameras in the truck. The company is picky with logs and will give you time off without pay if you don't conform. The trucks are nice looking but improperly geared for mountainous terrain. Mostly auto transmissions as they are dumbing everything down since dummies are about the only ones that are looking to work here anymore. Most people I know that are still here are looking for a way out. BTW, I'm really suspicious of the 5 star ratings of this company on Glassdoor. I suspect they come from upper management, trying to get their ratings up.
