Pros
- Get to work with some great people who are genuinely smart - Very fast paced, will get to work on range of projects with high exposure early on - High growth company, product with potential
Cons
- Horrific culture built based on a Chinese way of working - Work life balance is not promoted but rather condemned, while no explicit expectation to work long hours, if you seriously want to have a life out of work, you will not be given progression opportunities or any recognition. - Senior leadership are toxic in approach, all decisions need to have CEO level approval. No trust for the people that he hires, needs to have oversight on every single thing. No one is able to really stand up to him. - Turnover is extremely high, you will see messages of people being welcomed and a deactivated slack profile not much later. If they have not left yet, they will be seriously burnt out. - Seem to have no real progress/plan on people and culture, they hired a new Global Head of People and Global Head of Talent from Google, however both have left after only a few months. (speaks volumes) - Diversity and inclusion is non existent, no initiatives to improve this and people seem to come from the same companies and backrounds. - Communication from senior leadership is horrific, have seen countless people get slandered in public forums
