Pros
It is a scale up but still lots of opportunities to build. Easy to identify opportunities for improvement, take ownership, and make impact. Most people here are very switched on and want to make a real impact. Commercially, the business is doing really well, and has good momentum (good product market fit in key markets), and hopefully once the sales growth continues to grow and stabilise, it creates opportunities to start to invest more in people, teams, and culture. The CEO while can be quite controversial at times, is extremely motivated and works very hard to make sure Airwallex can succeed.
Cons
There are cultural challenges mostly driven from top down (mostly a hangover from what worked well in the early start up days), but I can see there are meaningful shifts over time (execs taking up coaching, systems and structures slowly being put in so that we don't waste time on basic things which don't need to be recreated over and over again are not). We just need everyone on board to continue helping shape (brick by brick) this company into one that will outlast time and become one of the best places to work.
