Pros

I met some nice people that’s all.

Cons

1. CEO is controlling everything, no space for other opinions. 2. People are really scared of CEO — they make things complicated only to not deal with him directly. 3. About business direction… hard to explain*****, but let’s say it’s already written in other reviews. 4. Company feels like BCG exits fan group — too many ex-consultants, everyone busy making slides all day. Honestly, I don’t know what was real work anymore. I was lucky not to be in that circle. 5. I meet many people who like to judge. Talking behind backs was normal. 6. I had panic attacks almost every day before work, and even after. Doctor told me it’s severe anxiety. 7. Everyone was trying to show how much they do — but not really doing it. Just want to be seen by managers. 8. When something goes wrong, first instinct is to find who to blame. 9. People push away work because they are scared to take responsibility if it fails. 10. Because of this, lot of backstabbing. Even people who try to help others get pushed out. Very demotivating. 11. I start to feel like everything is my fault — even when I know it’s not. They really twist your mind. 12. To be honest, this place destroyed my mental and physical health. I ended up in hospital and now need to take medication to manage both anxiety and depression. I’m still recovering. It was really not a safe or healthy environment.

Pros

Working at Airwallex has been an incredibly rewarding experience, especially as part of the sales team. The company is in a very strong growth phase, which makes it an exciting place to be. Over the past few years, Airwallex has scaled rapidly, processing hundreds of billions in payments annually. There are clear career progression opportunities if you perform. Leadership is supportive of internal mobility, and high performers are recognized and promoted. You’re surrounded by smart, driven colleagues who are collaborative and willing to help, which creates a motivating environment day to day.

Cons

Like most high-growth companies, things can move fast and change quickly, which may not suit everyone. There can be pressure to perform given the pace and ambition of the company.
