Cons is the pay does not measure up to the work they had us doing at Alameda Alliance. The calls are back to back, being on hold with providers, outreaching to members to resolve issues, outreaching to ModivCare which is a horrible vendor for members transportation needs. You cannot live off the salary alone. They pay bilingual people more but when you’re taking calls you get half of the calls in another language so you’re basically doing the work of a bilingual person. They expect you to answer a certain amount of calls however the calls can be really g when having to resolve specific issues
It’s also hard to live up in the company, they show favoritism, and if they don’t want you out of member services they will not allow you to promote.
Overall the company and supervisor I had was pretty chill, as long as you do your work. However the pay is what ultimately made me leave and the lack of promotional opportunities.
