Toxic work environment - Retail Store Manager Albertsons Companies Employee Review

Very long hours, expected to essentially “be on call” as a store director, a lot of favoritism, not every store and store manager are treated equally and fairly, threats are made about job status if certain goals aren’t met, open communication is not encouraged or fostered, upper management says they care about you and we are like family, however little to no care is given for our personal lives. Overall it is a very negative toxic work environment, they put as much pressure and stress on management as if we were in a more important field like doctors, we’re not we sell groceries. You deal with constant mistreatment by coworkers, and customers and very rarely does anyone come to the managers defense. In short the only thing good about this job is the salary.
