Management is horrible. Treat employees like crap. Turnover is amazingly high in ALL areas of employment. Go figure. - Manufacturing Technician Alcami Employee Review

Pros

Decent money and benefits. Location of Charleston site is easy to get to, it is right off of the interstate.

Cons

Charleston site - Management is hugely unprofessional. Sneaky, manipulative, threatening and intimidating. Barely gets through FDA audits without receiving 483's. There is NO training department. Hires people with no experience in areas that really need experienced professionals. Transfers people to departments where they have NO experience to set them up to fail so they can fire them. There is NO trustworthy leadership. They are currently using temporary employees and rushing them through "training" in order to get a backlog of work done. These people have no vested interest in the company. And it shows in their attitude and work ethics. Which, on second thought, may help them fit right in.

Pros

It was fun getting trained in new techniques, but they did not prioritize training. The bottom line is all they care about. There were some great coworkers there too. I hope they find a workplace where they are truly valued, cause this is not it.

Cons

I loved working here at first. Then, the good people kept leaving and management became worse. Micromanagement is rampant and new red tape changes to software keep things moving slower and slower. There is no trust in your abilities as an analyst. Management is extremely incompetent and they use fear and bullying through intimidation to deliver results. They will only promote you if they like you as a person. Hard work never gets rewarded, and promotions are unbalanced. Safety, empathy, and quality are taken as suggestions while their antiquated SOPs are considered the highest dogma. Higher turnover rate than most restaurants. Managers talk trash about their employees to other employees. No one who works at the analyst level here is mentally ok. The heartache is not worth the low pay. Watch your back.
