Pros

There are genuinely nice and very smart people that work here. Good benefits, the CEO has a great attitude and knows his software and cares about his company and you can feel it, which is so awesome. Great place to learn and hone your skills. Little to no supervision so you work as much as you need to.

Cons

Extreme lack of leadership and development. Surveygizmo just doesn't really have any of either for its employees. I read in another review here where the CEO admits to management being inexperienced. This is not only an understatement, but he forgets to mention that unlike other employees that go through a probationary period here, once a person is put in a management spot they seem to be untouchable, no matter how unprofessional they get. I have witnessed on many, many occasions managers crying all over the office, crying AT employees, hitting on other departments employees in and out of work, and generally failing their team as a role model and leader. I remember asking for reasons behind a few newly implemented strategy and managements response was almost always "we need to do it so the CEO can see us fail and then we can do it another way". Wow. Way to inspire. It's not inexperience that bore such statements, because these things still happen after them being in the position for almost years. It's the wrong kind of leadership, and it affects us all.

Hey there! Thanks for the review. I hope that life has been treating you well! I got your feedback loud and clear. I definitely think your experience was awful and I'm very sorry about that. I don't have any illusions about how unhappy you were or why. You know, it's interesting -- there are so many perspectives in a business and all of them are valid. My perspective on managers is much different than a team's can be. I think there are three core objectives for every manager. They need to execute the mission of the organization and department, they need to build a team (and every new manager changes it) and they need to empower and provide feedback to individuals. Each manager ultimately needs to excel at all three equally, but they won't at first. However, the one that at our stage, and with so much riding on our shoulders that I can't live without is number one. The manager in question is learning rapidly, took the experience and my coaching about it to heart. In this case, while I hear you and support everything you do going forward, the manager has my total support. Not becuase I am denying you two had bad interactions (oh boy, did you), but because they are the manager that has built a customer support team that I'm incredibly proud of. Sure, there's room for improvement, and plenty of skills that need to be learned and honed. However, every member of that team (manager included) is an awesome people that I love working with! I'm sorry that you guys didn't get along better. I hope you don't think I didn't hear, listen, know or understand your perspective. I watched everything... and I never took anyone's word. Sadly, in this case, it doesn't change my decisions or the outcome, but I hear you! Good luck on all your endeavors and I hope you can rest easy knowing that I do hear you. Sincerely, -Christian CEO

Pros

Great people in the sales organization.

Cons

The product team and some in leadership are disconnected from the market. Probably aren't the right people to grow Alchemer, especially in the AI age. New products don't work and are delivered a year behind schedule. Tough to hit the target when you have nothing to sell.
