Alchemer Response
11yHey there! Thanks for the review. I hope that life has been treating you well!
I got your feedback loud and clear.
I definitely think your experience was awful and I'm very sorry about that. I don't have any illusions about how unhappy you were or why.
You know, it's interesting -- there are so many perspectives in a business and all of them are valid.
My perspective on managers is much different than a team's can be. I think there are three core objectives for every manager. They need to execute the mission of the organization and department, they need to build a team (and every new manager changes it) and they need to empower and provide feedback to individuals.
Each manager ultimately needs to excel at all three equally, but they won't at first. However, the one that at our stage, and with so much riding on our shoulders that I can't live without is number one.
The manager in question is learning rapidly, took the experience and my coaching about it to heart.
In this case, while I hear you and support everything you do going forward, the manager has my total support. Not becuase I am denying you two had bad interactions (oh boy, did you), but because they are the manager that has built a customer support team that I'm incredibly proud of.
Sure, there's room for improvement, and plenty of skills that need to be learned and honed. However, every member of that team (manager included) is an awesome people that I love working with!
I'm sorry that you guys didn't get along better. I hope you don't think I didn't hear, listen, know or understand your perspective. I watched everything... and I never took anyone's word.
Sadly, in this case, it doesn't change my decisions or the outcome, but I hear you!
Good luck on all your endeavors and I hope you can rest easy knowing that I do hear you.
Sincerely,
-Christian
