Pros
From someone who has been with the company for 3 years: - The company takes great care of employees which is evident in their actions even more so than their words. This includes our benefits, promotions, food provided by the company (so much food), the culture that leadership has built, and the training that the company gives to their employees (both product/job-specific training and career development training) - Leadership (From CEO all the way down to managers) is very open about current business wins, business challenges, and the future direction of the company. - I feel as though hard work and success are well rewarded. I have had multiple people on my team promoted to new positions and people from other teams promoted to my team. Additionally, there are internal channels and meetings where we regularly share and celebrate individuals for big wins throughout the year. - In my experience, leadership tends to generally care about the success and well-being of individuals just as much as they do teams. - For remote employees, the company regularly flies employees to the office to spend time with their teams and engage with other teams face-to-face, - The company allows employees at all levels to have a voice in the business, get involved with the business or programs that we are running, and find new and creative solutions to business challenges if you want to branch out from your normal responsibilities. It really allows you to take control of your career. - The company as a whole feels like it is moving in a positive direction!
Cons
- There are more opportunities to participate in company events and programs if you work locally versus working fully remote. I also feel like promotions are easier for employees who work locally as well (although I have seen many remote employees promote as well so take that piece with a grain of salt). The company definitely has programs and policies in place that encourage people to work in-office though.
