Pros
For the first two years the company was great and employee focused. The worklife balance was fantastic and there were tons of leadership that cared. The pay was on par and things went well. The last 3 years have been tumultuous.
Cons
The moment the company decided they want to eventually go public they fired (Laid Off) or drove away every employee who knew anything about the product. Managers who were some of the best in the industry were replaced by Apathetic leaders who had very little interest in the vision of the company and more so in keeping their jobs. I was FIRED after 5 years of working hard and long into the night some times for using GPT to try and learn the role that they were tasking us with learning. They decided to combine two departments and we were going to now be the Product Support and Interface Support team. People who have never worked with interfaces before. Well, right before my sabbatical that the company gives, they locked me out for two weeks with no cause and fired me for USING AI. Talk about the lack of "reading the room" with technology. Worth mentioning that I was given NO severence. This all happend a month after I got my 5 year jacket. The WORST experience of my life and now my family is worried about losing our house because of this company.
