Pros
They are forward-moving and constantly upgrading their software and processes. They were on top of ensuring all had their regular company training completed. They were consistence with sending out their employee satisfaction surveys and improving on the results. My last aligned team was a great team to work with, I felt like family even though we were all remote. Overall, it was a great company to work for.
Cons
The only Con I have is when they decided to move more projects over to their partnering company, they had a company-wide meeting about this. When someone asked if North American employees should be worried about losing their jobs, we were informed that we should not worry and that Alight was in a good place. A couple of months and many training sessions later, I was informed that I was getting laid off. In the culture, a couple of their mantra statements are 'People Matter' and 'Be Real'. Honestly, if people mattered and they were being real, they should have been more upfront and prepared with their responses to this particular question, rather than giving a blanket false hope that our positions were safe. Had we been better informed, this would have allowed us to start looking elsewhere or up our skills in the process so that in the preceding months down we would have been more prepared.
