Business Outlook
Pros
Alloyed carries out complex projects for some huge customers, so the work is really interesting. The working style is also varied - it's common to work on several projects at once, and to take on project manager roles whilst relatively junior, so you develop management experience quite early on. The people are lovely, and the benefits are great.
Cons
The company has a fairly loose management structure, which means that occasionally with new projects / assignments you can be thrown in at the deep end and need to seek additional support. Depending on the project(s) you're working on, hours can get quite long. There aren't many options for lunch near the main office, although there is a tuck shop onsite.

Thanks very much for the review, and I'm glad the Alloyed experience is generally working out well for you!
As a current member of the team, you'll know we're restructuring the way we do things a bit at the moment to line up resources against projects better and to make the support structures clearer. That process will take a few more months, and the results will never be perfect - but I do hope they'll do better. As for lunch options...well, I'm up for ideas!

Alloyed is one of the best, if not THE BEST, company I have ever worked for.
I came into the Logistics role with no real clear outlay for the job.
As I began to put things together to get them to where they needed to get to, I was supported fully by the managers & supervisors. Everyone was approachable, friendly and it really felt we were all pulling in the same direction. They were also swift, and fair, in dealing with those who weren't there for the right reasons or just generally took the ****
// Responsibility: I was trusted with project deliverables from day 1, even in my first year after graduation. A huge positive if you are ambitious and seek ownership of your work.
// Management: Fantastic support from managers and CEO. Sometimes great support has meant telling me what I could have done better, followed by a “well done” after I put in the work and made the improvement. I am grateful to have colleagues who challenge me to think deeply.
// Development: My career goals have been enabled. When I have been seeking a change or new challenge, an opportunity has been found, allowing me to grow.
// Achievements: Professional achievements and personal milestones have been celebrated by my colleagues in very genuine ways throughout my time at Alloyed. I do not doubt the deep level of care my peers and managers have for me and my career.
// Customers: Alloyed’s customer list is comprised of the biggest and best companies in the world. It is something I feel proud to have been part of building.
// Diversity: Whilst it is quite typical for an engineering company to have < 50% female staff, I can say with confidence that 99% of my male colleagues have never treated me differently.
Cons
Alloyed will not suit everyone. For those of us who thrive here, it is a uniquely rewarding place to work.
