Pros
The non-management employees and front line managers are hard working people who want to do their best for the company and each other. Therefore, there is a sense of family. Overall, Allstate continues to do many of the right things to stay competitive.
Cons
Departmental management tries to do the right thing but senior management has a hard time prioritizing, making it difficult to do the right thing at the departmental level. Furthermore, many managers tend to be focused on their careers by developing programs that look good but tend to not be adequately supported for the long haul. Furthermore, adequate, controlled testing of programs is rarely done.
