Pros

Good experience for learning sales Good commission Relatively high salary Training is great and you definitely learn insurance Some agents pay for your licensing

Cons

Absolutely no room for growth (becoming an agent requires 100k upfront) LSPs are bottom of the food chain. Several times I heard corporate employees talk down about LSPs Quotas are unreasonable Leads are terrible, sold (not given!) to multiple agencies at once and the leads are people who clicked on scammy website ads High pressure Some agencies force you to work weekends

Pros

Flexible when it comes to how to get the work done. While working remote you don't have to waste time driving to location. You have the ability to work at night to catch up on workload if needed.

Cons

The strong achievers may end up getting more workload.
