      Pros

      Establish relationships outside of Allstate in the insurance industry. You will need them.

      Cons

      No one will tell you the truth about the success/fail ratio of new agents. It is miserable. Have very deep pockets and be prepared to be broke for 7 to 10 years.

      Pros

      Large Stable company, decent benefits, provide social gathering opportunities for remote employees.

      Cons

      Communication is not the best. from leadership down or between departments. Perception is valued higher then performance. Under stress people may turn hostile and the leadership is not equipped to address in well. In case of my manager some of the expectations were not reasonable.
