Pros

good benefits, stable hours, good vacation and sick leave policies

Cons

a lot of work for the position, basically doing 3 different jobs while getting paid the lowest in the office (barely more than minimum wage). Management seems to side with clients even when they're being completely ridiculous and undermines any credibility you have as an agent. Was told at interview that it'd be a good place to grow but was told when leaving the company that I never stood a chance of moving positions because of the way the company was structured.

Pros

There appeared to be a lot of pros. Could leads lots of opportunity to sell different things. And the backing of a large company.

Cons

I went through the entire interview process, with the assumption that I would be working for allstate. Second day of training, I was informed that I was going to be part of the national general group. Basically, everything that was told to me during my recruitment was not correct.Because it was a whole different ball game..a whole different company. Commission structures for this group have been slashed four times in the last two and a half years. Within a year and a half of my group getting hired, there are less than five people left for my hiring class.
