Where do I start? - Casualty Claims Adjuster Allstate Employee Review

Pros

The PTO and schedule flexibility.

Cons

There is so much work and very little work/life balance, which leads me to believe the company doesn't care about the employees or customers. Management places unrealistic expectations/goals on the employees, assigns unmanageable workload. 70 - 80+ bi claims in a single month is the norm. Adjusters handle claims for 6-10 different states, and it's difficult to keep up with the constant changes. People are jumping ship...constant revolving door. When I realized that other insurance companies are paying their entry level LDU adjusters the same pay I was getting as a tenured employee at Allstate, I realized I was at the wrong company. I wouldn't recommend working here unless you are prepared to sacrifice your well-being and personal time.

Pros

Good benefits and ok PTO

Cons

Terrible pay and composition structure. Point bassed systems are only used to screw your sales agents out of money. I doubt they will be around another 50 years. Management proudly says that the way to move up is "be good where you are". Upper management is disproportionately F. All the agents hate the job and its very obvious to see.
