Pros

Love being remote. Pay can be generous in commision. Easy work when you get the hang of it. Generous PTO.

Cons

Corporate America at its finest. I have been with the company 3 years and they cut the commision scale every year. I was hired on as inbound and they started making me doing outbound calls a few hours here and there and was people who put in web apps. Now its practically cold calling and the majority of my shift. I have excelled in inbound call sales but my numbers have decreased dramatically because you get lots of voicemail calls and cold calling. People do well in outbound but its a more agressive personality and those who do well in inbound are more customer service salesman. The majority of employees have complained and management turns a blind eye to it. The system has lots of kinks and it causes you to not be able to do a purchase losing sales and the tech team is cheap labor overseas who doesnt care, wont respond, ends chats in ths middle of a conversatiom and will mark the IT ticket as resolved. I have applied for a promotion I am well qualified for, have workef with many teammembers in the dept who recommended me and got denied the job because I didnt answer my questions fully in the "STAR" format during the interview. The people the hired are awful at their job and Ive had to help them. Benefits for medical are ok. Dental is good

Pros

There appeared to be a lot of pros. Could leads lots of opportunity to sell different things. And the backing of a large company.

Cons

I went through the entire interview process, with the assumption that I would be working for allstate. Second day of training, I was informed that I was going to be part of the national general group. Basically, everything that was told to me during my recruitment was not correct.Because it was a whole different ball game..a whole different company. Commission structures for this group have been slashed four times in the last two and a half years. Within a year and a half of my group getting hired, there are less than five people left for my hiring class.
