Pros
* Great people - 80% were extremely talented and dedicated * Above average compensation * Great culture prior to merger
Cons
* The people who determined that GMAC-RFC and GMAC Residential should merge seemed to do so without considering cultures and how the two companies differentiated themselves. RFC was "customer intimate;" Residential was supposedly "efficient." Management took a long time to address / communicate: what's the competency of the "merged company" - and also allowed/condoned poor behavior between the RFC/Resi folks.
