Pros

If you love working with kids, this job is for you. For part time work, the pay is pretty good.

Cons

They run a curriculum based program and it is terrible. FIRST......an hour is way too long! The kids hate it! The last thing the kids want to do after being in school all day is what appears to them to be more work. They offer Art, Technology, Language, and Fitness. Whatever curriculum you lead is very micromanaged without much to any leeway to change. Art should be about art. Teach them to draw, paint, let them have free time. Language is NOT something they enjoy at all.....quite from a 4th grade boy..."this is the last thing I want to do, I don't like it. It is more work and I have been in school all day already". Technology should be about hands on, on the computer. Some of the time the kids do t even touch the computer. Fitness is pretty good......although there are some sports that are barely covered at all, and ones that the kids would prefer. The "Higher Ups" at corporate have been told that curriculum needs to be changed and that for the most parts the kids hate it, yet it stays the same. Every Friday they have what is called Fun Friday, yet they have taken the FUN out of it. The kids used to look forward to Fun Friday, but now to them it's just another day. What kid wants to do a Chemistry experiment in Fun Friday? Not many. Fun Friday should be about the kids! Let them choose! Who cares if they choose the same thing every week. It is their Friday and they deserve to do what they want(within reason).

Pros

Very very kind and understanding management. I really like them as people. I've heard through the grapevine that there is dissonance among them sometimes but maybe that's normal, idk i've never been in a middle/upper management position. I've always been treated with kindness and empathy for my situations, and they will try to reach a middle ground as long as it doesn't come out of their pocket. Cool career advancing opportunities that I just never took advantage of.

Cons

OH MY do they suck at communication. Not all of them, but a couple ones yea for sure. They will always prioritize their pocket against your wallet. If you are looking for a full time director position this one is NOT it and barely pays my bills. It worked for some people but just didn't for me. In the interview for a director position ask them to be upfront with the hours specific to the location they are hiring you for. Maybe email it to them after idk just know that you will never get full time 40 here.
