Pros

Work with the children was a pleasant expereince. The kids keep you going and are full of energy and excitement.

Cons

Internal promotions are not based off qualifications but unsound biases without proper justification for the failure to complete proper protocol.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m happy the students are a high point for you at work. However, I am sorry to hear that you feel like promotions are not based on performance or qualifications. In line with many of the Fortune 500 organizations, AlphaBEST is moving to a new model of frequent, informal check-ins, which allow for more meaningful discussions, deeper insights, and greater employee satisfaction. This model will help us better identify high performers – those with a cooperative attitude and a willingness to learn – to consider for promotion opportunities. Please feel free to reach out to me at lmoynagh@alphabest.org to discuss further. With gratitude, Laura Moynagh Director Talent Success & Engagement

Pros

Very very kind and understanding management. I really like them as people. I've heard through the grapevine that there is dissonance among them sometimes but maybe that's normal, idk i've never been in a middle/upper management position. I've always been treated with kindness and empathy for my situations, and they will try to reach a middle ground as long as it doesn't come out of their pocket. Cool career advancing opportunities that I just never took advantage of.

Cons

OH MY do they suck at communication. Not all of them, but a couple ones yea for sure. They will always prioritize their pocket against your wallet. If you are looking for a full time director position this one is NOT it and barely pays my bills. It worked for some people but just didn't for me. In the interview for a director position ask them to be upfront with the hours specific to the location they are hiring you for. Maybe email it to them after idk just know that you will never get full time 40 here.
