AlphaBEST does not care about employees - Zone Leader AlphaBEST Employee Review

Pros

Some of the kids and families are really nice. I’ve also had some great fellow Zone Leaders.

Cons

Upper management, starting at the Area Managers, does not care about employees at all. The company itself is flawed and management shows so much favoritism to a handful of people. You get no sick leave, no PTO (even when promised,) no pay on snow days, no mileage even though they make you drive all over to cover other schools, and yet they cut hours for no reason whenever they feel like it. They try to give people the bare minimum at all times while at the same time telling people they can “just quit” if they don’t like how things are. They are literally always short staffed and employees are moved around and pushed too hard. Kids will literally beat teachers up and we always got a “meh” response from upper management. They do not care, not even a little bit.

Pros

Very very kind and understanding management. I really like them as people. I've heard through the grapevine that there is dissonance among them sometimes but maybe that's normal, idk i've never been in a middle/upper management position. I've always been treated with kindness and empathy for my situations, and they will try to reach a middle ground as long as it doesn't come out of their pocket. Cool career advancing opportunities that I just never took advantage of.

Cons

OH MY do they suck at communication. Not all of them, but a couple ones yea for sure. They will always prioritize their pocket against your wallet. If you are looking for a full time director position this one is NOT it and barely pays my bills. It worked for some people but just didn't for me. In the interview for a director position ask them to be upfront with the hours specific to the location they are hiring you for. Maybe email it to them after idk just know that you will never get full time 40 here.
