Pros
The company currently has fair pay and compensation which includes: Salary, Bonus (annually and unlikely to be dependable given the current cost cutting measures), vacation (2 weeks start increasing as you stay longer) 401(k) match (50% up to 5% of your contribution), Health Savings Account (company contributes $1.5K), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (max 20% of your gross income at a 15% discount, PPO option (which seems to be the smartest over the HMO for most people when all costs are considered). The environment is professional and mostly a good place to work with occasional celebrations and catered meetings. Overall, I am happy as an employee and would encourage employment here.
Cons
Volatile - The company is constantly trying to fix itself with little success. It has almost never been profitable and the stock slopes down. There have been major layoffs every 4 or 5 years. Now the company has chosen to stop manufacturing its own product. There is no telling whether this will be good or not for the company but many of us are hopeful. Many good employees have left to more stable work environments, but that might just be emotional because, other than the lack of raises, most people's jobs are not ill-effected.
