Pros

Pay was decent and working from home is a nice aspect to the job.

Cons

I did not have a good experience working for Altais. Initially, I was told that I was the first of 3 people to be hired to work on the newly formed medical records team. I was eventually told by a former employee that I should not have the hope that they will be hiring the help that they told me. My 3 repeated inquiries about the status of hiring other records techs were ignored, and I accepted that no other hires were coming. The company offered next to no training in regards to each company has their own policies as far as how they would like their company's duties are to be carried out. Next, I had 4 supervisors in just under two years of employment. I was told that I was an important part of the company and that they would be depending on me for some important upcoming projects which sounded great. This was the first time that I had felt that my position was of any value to the company. Five days after I was told this, I was laid off. I was told that it had nothing to do with me and that the company was eliminating my position. Ok, not good news but it happens. Final straw was that I emailed my supervisor who I thought that I had a good working relationship with asking for a possible letter of recommendation just pointing out that I am a team player who is always willing to help when needed. I was not a perfect worker but I always worked to get better, always willing to help, had a positive attitude and welcomed advice to become a better employee. I did not even get a response regarding the work letter. I think that I should have gotten a response at the very least out of common courtesy.

Pros

I am working with one of the best managers I have ever worked with. This company also encourages and pays for you to get additional Epic certifications and lets you choose personal passion projects to do process improvement.

Cons

Small teams so work load can get a bit crazy sometimes.

Pros

If you choose to work here as a provider -especially in their bay area offices-expect to have no support or respect from management or staff. Multiple northern california offices have closed this year, staff members were fired without reason, and providers are dropping like flies to go to Sutter. The company only cares for their southern california medical offices and would rather focus on expanding the company to Hawaii (?) than work to improve the offices they have. Borderline illegal mismanagement, malpractice and patient neglect. Seems they plan to shut down all bay area offices slowly as they continue to fail and without warning.

Cons

Horrible. Greedy management. They do not care about providers or patient care in the slightest. They make decisions without consulting staff. Little to no communication. Do yourself a favor RUN and never look back.
