Overall, the company was going through a merger and there was a general feeling of unease at the direction the company would take. The two companies being merged were very different. I worked with a lot of people from the smaller start up, and I liked that culture a lot. The other company was more than twice as big and felt very corporate; it seemed like it was set to subsume culture of the smaller.
