Pros
Altar'd State gave me some of the best moments, memories, and friendships I have ever had.
The hours were good, the pay was good - considering it was a retail job, and I was able to grow into a higher position within a year of working there. It is a lot of hard work at times, especially during the Holidays and big sales and mark downs, but the people you work with and the guests you encounter make up for all the rough days! They push customer service as number one, which is how it should be.
The upper, corporate management are some of the nicest and most genuine people you will meet and they look out for their employees and wants what is best for the company.
My favorite thing of all, though, was getting to work with all the Mission Monday organizations and being able to give back to the community. Many retailers are doing that now days, but AS was one of the only retailers to really put it out there and expand on it and made it their real goal.
Cons
It could get overwhelming at times, like during the Holidays and big sales.
We did not get out until two hours after the close of the store.
