I have worked at Altar'd State for nearly two years and what I love most about the company is the overall purpose and mission of the company. Stand Out for Good is about being different from other retail companies; it is about fostering an experience that is unique and inviting to our guests that will encourage them to come back. I also believe that this statement is also a reflection on yourself; you should never be afraid to be unique, especially in your style. This company is also about giving back and I love the influence that this company has in every environment that it is in, as well as the work that the business does in Peru. The overall atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. My general manager, assistant managers, and co-workers are amazing people to work with, and this trend progresses throughout the company. I have had the opportunity to meet the district managers of my area, as well as the CEO and individuals from the corporate office. Everybody cares for another and it is has brought me a lot of joy working here. I have been able to grow with the company, both personally and professionally, and I cannot wait to see where to business goes in the future.
Cons
I wouldn't say there is a downside to working for Altar'd State. Just know that working in retail is a lot of work and be flexible. Your hours will fluctuate based on the seasons, especially around holidays like Christmas.
