The verbal abuse and hypocrisy from the ceo is unbelievable and what is further surprising is how conditioned the people who have worked there more than 3 years are to it. Senior leadership is afraid to give real opinions. It is called coaching to summon an entire team to a board room and scream/curse/humiliate people. Other posts mention a recurring theme on monthly company calls - the ceo proudly scoffs at diversity and tells women they are weak and are only fulfilled when they are wife and mothers. It is a culture of fear of what might set the ceo off.
The company then decided to get a new home office and now we see announcements about paycuts or performance related fires (aka layoffs). Bonuses went away and cost of living annual adjustments stopped with no notice or explanation. Seems like they are spending money they do not have and making it harder for teams to meet high expectations in all areas of the business. You are expected to check email on your off days and vacations. The company is certainly standing out but not for good with the decisions made in the last year or so. And rather than accept responsibility for leadership's bad decisions - you will be told it is your fault a bad decision didn't work out.
