- Extremely unreasonable with expectations.
- Consistently forced to work past scheduled shift due to staffing issues and high turnover rates.
- Unresponsive DL and SL. Neither were able to take any feedback or accountability for their actions. Very fake nice, but will absolutely talk bad about you behind your back. High school activities from middle aged women.
- Terrible work place environment that was filled with hostility and drama, from brand rep level to store lead.
- Terrible management on all levels. Had great talent, but was unable to keep it due to the awful and discouraging workplace. I felt belittled and targeted almost every shift that I worked.
I dedicated two years of my life to this company, and I wish I hadn't. I was forced to work full-time, while also being a full-time student, which resulted in me failing an entire semester and almost losing my scholarship for school. If I didn't work past my shift, I was threatened with disciplinary action, or worse. In this economy, you can imagine how stressful it may be to potentially lose your job because of this issue. I never received time off, even when I asked months and months in advance. I was doing the full job of an ASL as a brand rep, and it only got worse when I was promoted to guest lead. Every manager I had at this company, from ASL, to SL, to DL was extremely damaging and toxic, not to mention childish and immature. I feel like I lost two years of my life working for this company; the effects that working here had on my life were so damaging. I was unable to have any type of social life -- every aspect of my life was catered to this job.
I could write a novel about my 2 years with Altard State. Truly the worse experience I have ever had in my life. The ability to leave this company is the biggest blessing in disguise that I have ever received, and I thank God everyday for it.
