Pros

SOME of the coworkers were someone the best people ever and made the day to day a little easier

Cons

Review Store leader goes ice cold to you when you put your 2 weeks notice in. Doesn’t say another word to you, makes it a very hard last two weeks. You can call the anonymous hotline and STILL nothing gets done about the issues. Company is all about promotions and moving employees up the ladder, but will promote a BR over a GL. So desperate to fill roles they fill it with anyone who can talk, even if they’re probably not the fit for a high volume store. SL said it’s easy to get where you want in this company, all you have to do is be able to talk and lie really good with all upper management. So, does everyone in their position really belong there, or are they just a REALLY good liar and talker? SL told a BR that was interviewing to be a GL to lie in her interview about coaching someone, even if she hadn’t coached in a role before. (Company is huge on coaching) PTO requests will be denied, even if your schedule isn’t out yet. SL will make you feel bad about using company given Paid Wellness Time, if you’re sick or not feeling well. Leadership coverage is never done well enough, so you’re either standing in first impression all day, and you can hardly leave, or you’re in the back watching cashwrap and fitting rooms at once. Do not forget about our lovely VOG (secret shop). If you’re the BOD (butterfly on duty), and you’re watching the front, you BETTER be on your A Game otherwise if you fail first impressions, write up! Write up even if you’re the only person up front, 3 people need rooms started (cashwrap and fits girl is busy with a guest on cash wrap), someone needs something down, and you have to greet every new face you see within 30 seconds of them entering the store. The store isn’t set up to be able to see the door from the fitting rooms or cashwrap, but you are still expected to run around and do it all. Which *some* days, that isn’t an issue, but most days it is. And when you’re running your tail off and super busy, you aren’t allowed hardly a drink of water or a restroom break. SL should have the most BOD segments, but has the absolute least. Talking MAYBE 4-5. ASL’s would have anywhere between 6-12. 🙃She’s in the “office” two days out of the week, has 1-2 days off during the week and closes once a week while other managers close 2-3 times a week. With the recent pay cuts, everyone has left and they are having a hard time getting any employee of quality hired on at $12.50/hr. And if they do, they will be so burnt out and realize the weight of the job is seriously overloaded for the pay they are getting. Schedule is running on 1-2 part coverage due to not having enough staff, but don’t you dare forget about that potential secret shop ;) Everyone is so paranoid about a secret shop, they are always on edge. You literally can’t enjoy yourself or your job bc the second you do, you’ve already failed a secret shop. VOG and NPS are used to measure how the employees associate with guests and making sure they are doing what’s expected, where I do feel like these are good things to have to measure that, there is VERY little room for error. You have to be perfect all the time and if you’re not, write up or even termination. Store leader talks badly about other managers/brand reps. Said some leaders are “entitled little white girls” because they express concerns with other management, that she simply doesn’t want to handle, because she doesn’t want to fill another position. Nothing about this place stands out for good. Especially when the Store Leader makes it an incredibly toxic work environment

Pros

Literally nothing, can’t think of one positive thing

Cons

I’ve been with the company for years and watching its continuous downfall has become almost comical. Two years ago we took major pay cuts (like 15%) because of the economy but this year they sent us to the Virgin Islands on this over the top meeting that must have cost a fortune. I’d rather have the money in my bank versus a trip I was forced to go on with senior leadership that are absolute horrific people in general and evil businesses people. It all felt like a big propaganda event with tons of videoing and picture taking so they could come home and post all over linked in and social media about how WONDERFUL it is to work there. Don’t even get me started on the new Little House on the Prairie denim dresses we have to wear because they hire managers that aren’t even strong enough to coach to a dress code. How can you run a store if you can’t even tell someone what they’re wearing inappropriate? Instead now we look like a bunch of little followers of the cult everyone already says it is. As long as we say we “stand out for good” at every opportunity it must mean it’s true right? To know who else brainwashed people into thinking bad things are good for them? CULT LEADERS.
