Pros
I really enjoyed my people that were attracted to work there. Wonderful Christian valued girls. Big hearts. Hard workers. My only positive was them in my dark days. The store is exciting and warm visually. Norm and the visual team are wonderful and so creative. Our windows (watch out putting them together though) were hands down the most beautiful in our market.
Cons
Unfortunately, I truly recommend avoiding this company. If this is your only option for advancement, okay. But use as a stepping stone and move on as quickly as possible. Because during your time with this company, your life will change. I wish I could scream this from the rooftops. You'll find that you're angry, exhausted and not a pleasant person to be around at the end of the day. You will have no work/life balance. And I mean none. To reiterate, please don't come here, only if absolutely necessary, AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF JESUS, do not come here if you are responsible for someone (child/elderly parent) or sweet pet at home. They will be neglected severely beyond repair and you will lose what is most precious to you because of the time you have to invest in this role. You are expected only to perform and have no human existence. Your district manager will come in and ask why why why not? And not, how are you? Ever. I really wasn't valued. After spending 1.5 (which is like forever with this company) years and leading the most successful store in my district and one of the top 10 stores in the company, they didn't care. There was no "atta boy", no encouragement, no feedback but negative, no development to make me a stronger leader where I needed it. No follow through. Not great benefits, incentives (what incentives? Praise it to Jesus?), low pay for you and what you're able to offer your team. Please keep looking and continue your search with someone that will truly invest in you.
