senior altasciences staff had never managed a preclinical shop, tried to make drastic changes, got rid of most all experienced employees from SNBL (previous company owner). This resulted in awful morale and a 'walking on eggshells' environment where employees are now afraid of their managers. Pay is low as is common at CRO's as well as long hours with an expectation that you WILL work overtime. Benefits come from unknown insurance companies, not great. Alta talked a good game of sunshine and bright new beginnings when they took over, but didn't deliver. Many employees have quit in disgust.
