Pros

The people are the best part of working at Alteryx. I am constantly impressed by how talented my colleagues are and how eager they are to help. The talent here is second to none and paired with both proactive enablement and intentional career development, there is plenty of opportunity for growth and impact. Pre-COVID, the company was willing to invest in in-person collaboration, including flying all 1,400+ (at the time) associates to Las Vegas in Feb. 2020 for our Global Kickoff (GKO). Our work transcends office, function, team and geographic locations. Post-COVID, the company made appropriate adjustments and maintained transparent communications. The team continues to make responsible decisions regarding work safety while creating new ways for associates to engage and adjust to our new environment. The executive team leads ethically and by example. The company is clear about direction and how each associate's responsibilities not only support these strategic imperatives but make an impact. Alteryx is a purpose-driven company and puts money where it's "mouth" is with Alteryx for Good. Associates are free to donate time and money to organizations they feel most passionate about. Our culture is also one of innovation--leadership is always willing to listen to any idea and one associate's suggestion can evolve into a corporate program. Finally, our company culture is focused on growth---Alteryx introduced a new market category this year and continues to be recognized as an accomplished industry leader.

Cons

The company has aggressive growth ambitions, which requires an engaged and focused associate base. As a result, work-life balance is not great and burnout is a reality. C-level priorities and direction are provided with little regard for dependencies.

Hi there and thank you for your thoughtful feedback. Although I continue to be impressed with the technology our teams design, build, and deliver to customers (and their success with our solutions), I agree with you that our global associates truly are our "secret sauce." Carrying forward the groundwork that our company founders set in motion, our new CEO Mark is doubling down on clarity of direction and a continued focus on giving back and on diversity, equity and inclusion. Specifically, we're working to enhance our Early in Career (previously University Recruiting) program, to engage more interns and apprenticeship members in 2021 and beyond. And I agree with you that COVID-19 has had us rethink parts of how we run the company - our holiday and end of year parties this year will be transformed into a global virtual volunteering effort in December, and our GKO in early 2021 (although virtual) will be one not to miss as we kick off another great year at the company. Thanks also for your caution about ensuring that the leadership team remain conscious of dependencies within and across teams as we continue to drive strategy for the company. You're right that many of us feel the impact of a company growing at our speed and scale - thanks for the reminder for us to make space for good work-life integration, so that we succeed as a company and as individuals, family members, friends and members of our community! Please keep the feedback coming! David

Pros

-Strong technical talent and knowledgeable colleagues who genuinely know the analytics/data space -Product still has real technical depth and a loyal user base, but the move th AlteryxOne is causing renewal issues -Historically solid brand recognition in the data/analytics community

Cons

-Repeated rounds of layoffs have left remaining staff stretched thin and anxious about job security -Since the PE acquisition, decisions feel driven by short-term financial targets rather than product or people -Leadership has changed multiple times in a short window, with little continuity or clear long-term vision communicated downward Trust between employees and management has eroded — morale is low and turnover (voluntary and involuntary) has hollowed out institutional knowledge -Culture has shifted from collaborative to guarded; people are protecting themselves rather than working openly -Communication from leadership during restructuring has felt reactive rather than transparent
