Pros

I've worked for many companies in the past and can say that Alteryx stands out as the best regarding employee support. They do this really genuinely, and not just to put something nice on their website. Words can't explain this well, you can feel it naturally when you work here. They make products with lots of potential as Data and AI take more precedence around the world. Their products are B2B so the company brand won't be as visible as other companies with B2C products, but when you work, it's fascinating to realise how global they are. Lots of opportunities for your career.

Cons

The product has a very targeted user cohort, and typically a product designer won't be familiar with them unless you had a similar background in Data Science. Even before joining, I was a little unsure whether I could design something for them. So, even though it's not "mandatory" - I feel I need to invest extra time to learn about this field which is packed with numbers, figures, and jargon. If I were very time-poor or had something to do after 5 PM, this could easily become a burden for my work-life balance.

Alteryx Response

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. It always makes my day when I hear how much someone loves working here. I also appreciate your feedback on the time you've had to spend to get up to speed after joining. We love to see people working hard, but know that there are sustainable and unsustainable versions of this. If it ever gets to the point where that workstyle isn't working for you, please let your manager know and they will help you. Thanks, Jill Bone Acting Chief People Officer

Pros

-Strong technical talent and knowledgeable colleagues who genuinely know the analytics/data space -Product still has real technical depth and a loyal user base, but the move th AlteryxOne is causing renewal issues -Historically solid brand recognition in the data/analytics community

Cons

-Repeated rounds of layoffs have left remaining staff stretched thin and anxious about job security -Since the PE acquisition, decisions feel driven by short-term financial targets rather than product or people -Leadership has changed multiple times in a short window, with little continuity or clear long-term vision communicated downward Trust between employees and management has eroded — morale is low and turnover (voluntary and involuntary) has hollowed out institutional knowledge -Culture has shifted from collaborative to guarded; people are protecting themselves rather than working openly -Communication from leadership during restructuring has felt reactive rather than transparent
