Pros
* Not a lot of oversight. So you can practically do whatever you want, which essentially meant that once I gave up on the company, I barely worked and no one noticed for like 3 months. * Support of L&D, at least where money is concerned. They will let you do course and pay for them.
Cons
* Too much chaos at the workplace. Everyone is constantly changing their mind. It's like pivoting literally twice a week. * They want to follow the OKR system, but most of their "leaders" don't really understand what OKRs are. What's the point of OKR system if you;'re always delivering 150%. Why set targets so low?! * Some people, often in very senior positions, will not respect your time or energy. They will not show up for meetings, not reply to messages or emails. It's like trying to coordinate with a tinder boi who is constantly ghosting you, until he needs something from you. * No one accepts or declines meeting invites. You're always in a sense of limbo. * Late night meetings all the time, if you are in any kind of a coordination role. * The HR team is highly unresponsive. People won't respond to you for days, unless you escalate it or its a very high priority issue. * The finance team will take forever to process anything, even 100 Rupess reimbursements. Also, not very organized or responsive. * They will hold internal competitions, like the idea challenge, and you will put in a ton of effort into it, and they will never announce a result. So you don't see any culmination of the effort you put in. * People are constantly discouraged to take holidays. If you take time off, you can expect them to ping you all the time anyway. And if you can't respond, you might get reprimanded for it. * Diwali gift will literally boil down to 100 grams of dry fruits. Don't expect any perks. * Annual increments are a joke. They happen in June and not in March-April. Also they keep the numbers in single digits. I have known people with a promotion get 12% of increment. *Annual reviews are a joke. You can write whatever and neither your boss nor your HR will be concerned because it's just a matter of paperwork, and not about tracking your actual growth. * You will be judged not for what you do with respect to your role, but how much can you bend over backwards to "help" other people. So you do your work and their work, both, all in the name of helping teams. * They have women at lower levels but barely any women leaders. I was used to being the only woman in the room, even though I was not even mid-level senior. * No work life balance. If you are rich and can afford a staff of people cooking and cleaning for you then maybe you can have some work life balance.
