Pros
Self-management. The ability to manage your station and assist with customers having a successful delivery.
Cons
There are numerous instances in which customers are unwilling to assist in the successful delivery of their packages. Some exhibit rudeness that can affect one's mental well-being. The compensation is low, yet the responsibilities align with a level 4 position. Employees are often instructed to independently determine how to access gates or buildings. The role has increasingly involved performing tasks typically assigned to management, who are often absent. As agents, individuals are required to self-manage daily. Assistance from managers, when they are not attending to personal errands, is limited to sporadic communication via chat to coordinate responses from the station or delivery service providers for reattempts, particularly when acknowledgment timeframes have lapsed. Familiarity with proper tagging and adherence to policy steps yields consistent responses. Recently, as potential job cuts loom, bullying tactics have emerged, including irrelevant emails and comments intended to reinforce their perceived necessity within the department, which is unfounded. Artificial intelligence can effectively handle all tasks related to reattempts or failed deliveries.
