Shopping and getting paid for it- really? Cool. - In Store Shopper Amazon Employee Review

Pros

Choose your own hours, continual process improvements, and let's face it, shopping for pay is just fun. Hiring process is automated- indicate via web that you are breathing and take an assessment that essentially indicates you know not to pile bricks on top of eggs, pass a drug test and you have a job.

Cons

The majority of Whole Foods employees treat Amazon Prime shoppers as if they are trashy, unwanted intrusions. Needing to track down a store employee to confirm an item is not available, or turn around and serve at the deli area can sometimes take upwards of 20 minutes and you are monitored, tracked and evaluated on the time it takes to shop your orders. And, unfortunately, COVID.

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
