Pros

It's a Job, it's a job, It's a job, It's a Job, and it's a job.

Cons

Here’s a revised version of your message with a more professional tone while still expressing your concerns and experiences effectively: This was one of the most unprofessional and unreliable employment experiences I have ever had. My last day of work was Saturday, 11/30/2024. Despite consistently completing challenging routes with up to 4–5 carts (360+ packages and 180 stops daily), my workload only increased. On my final day, I was assigned six carts. The new EV van was so overloaded with packages that there was barely enough room to move. I began my route, which involved multiple stops with 2–10 packages each. Although demanding, I worked efficiently to stay on schedule. However, the EV van's battery began draining unusually fast, and the heat failed when the battery reached 50%. Left without heat, I contacted management and waited in the cold for over 90 minutes for a replacement vehicle. After losing significant time, I was expected to finish my route, which would have resulted in returning home after 10 PM. Prioritizing my health and safety, I returned to the station with undelivered packages and informed my DSP, expecting them to escalate these issues with Amazon. Instead, when I explained the situation to the Operations Manager on Monday, I was advised that I should have continued the route despite the circumstances. Their response indicated that I was expected to prioritize package delivery over my health and safety. This was surprising, given my consistent performance and willingness to meet demands without complaint. After that conversation, I submitted my resignation, effective in two weeks. However, the manager immediately accepted my resignation, stating that these issues would continue, as the EVs were not being replaced. This incident was just one of many challenges. The provided equipment, including phones and chargers, was unreliable, often causing delays. Morning briefings ("stand-ups") rarely started on time, and there were frequent issues with key fobs and batteries for the vehicles. The expectation to complete 20–25 stops per hour while taking breaks made it nearly impossible to maintain any work-life balance on workdays. On several occasions, I was forced to resort to extreme measures, like skipping breaks, just to stay on schedule. While I understand the demands of the delivery industry, there is no excuse for such a lack of support and consideration for employees. The experience felt like being a disposable part of a revolving door system, which prioritizes metrics over worker well-being. For anyone considering a similar position, be aware of these challenges. Improvements in communication, equipment, and prioritization of employee safety and morale are essential for a better work environment. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this job.

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
