Pros
I enjoy working at Amazon, it's fast paced and we deliver results. I know there's a lot of controversy, but I personally enjoy my team and the level of ownership ICs have. We prioritize the customer at every step of the way.
Cons
The environment is ambiguous. So it may not be ideal for someone who's not a self starter and able to seek to understand and solve problems on their own. The promotion process is complicated and not based on direct work performance or longevity in the role. You may exceed expectations YoY and still take forever to see a promotion through.
