Pros

This is a perfect fit for you if you have never had an original idea in your life and exist on a daily basis through hand waving, brown nosing, and behind kissing. You may actually thrive here.

Cons

This is the least innovative company I have ever worked for, which is funny because they try to pride themselves on being innovative. I do not see how copying what better companies are doing can be considered innovative. I had some truly great ideas that were ignored because it was not politically correct for a worker like me to have such better vision than those "leading" the company. Fire phone? Di you really want that on your resume? Me thinks not. Management here is awful. The culture is awful. The new office location is awful. Employee retention is awful. The politics are awful. Don't just believe me, ask around and you will hear the same story from almost every former employee. Lab126 reputation is so bad, that nobody with any experience or intelligence wants to work here. Amazon has to now focus most of their energy on bringing in new grads and interns that do not know any better. Will you want to purchase products designed from kids new to the industry? I know I wont.

Pros

The team is welcoming and supportive, with designers across visual, motion, and sound design (rare for Amazon) However, opportunities to collaborate across teams are relatively limited.

Cons

Decision-making can take time due to multiple stakeholder reviews. Balancing design quality with business constraints can be challenging. Job security has become less predictable in recent years.
