Pros
* With a large number of people working on host of different projects, the design review meetings are where you learn the most. I felt the design documents of other people teach a lot.
Cons
* For orgs based in US, the cross time zone interactions are US friendly and not IST friendly. * The senior most person present in a meeting will affect how each attendee will behave there. Every person will try to find out irrelevant faults and label them "call outs" so that they can say told you so. It would make sense if the doubts were information backed but a lot of these are because of lack of trust. Every thing no matter how minute has to be mentioned on the document. * The organisation is in that phase where they want to grow like a startup and slog the employees but don't have the power to really do that. You'd do 2 months worth of work in 1 month and then see it get blocked for 2-3 months because of some security problem. The processes are cumbersome and really time taking. * Managers are highly opaque in their working and still claim complete transparency in their meetings. AI whimsy is obviously affecting everyone where leaders are just trying to push AI on everything.
