Pros

The scale of the data center projects is undeniable.

Cons

Expect zero onboarding (outdated materials). When I started, I was working grueling hours and giving up my weekends just to figure things out on my own and keep things afloat. Compensation raise is poor. Attrition rate 70% per year. You will often be held fully accountable for things completely outside your control. I was blamed despite receiving no internal support to manage the fallout. Tribal culture. The promotion timeline to the next level is incredibly rigid and penalizing. You can work incredibly hard, dive into to fix design problems, and independently save the company millions in infrastructure costs, only to have other internal corporate teams claim the credit. Even when you execute flawlessly on your current projects, you are forced to wait years for arbitrary promotion cycles to catch up,

Pros

Ambitious projects if you're in the right team. Typically great team-mates. Don't believe the memes, the ppl are not back stabbing jerks but are overall genuinely nice. Not constrained by budgets when building cool things. Tools while sometimes clunky are powerful.

Cons

Schizophrenic lack of focus, entire teams get split, merged and upended multiple times a quarter. Some product managers are disconnected from reality. It didn't use to be the case, the PM-Ts were previously top notch. You're pushed to vibe code everything. Established products with loyal customers are getting neglected. Newer VP level leaders don't seem to know what they are doing. Veteran OG VP level leaders are either leaving in droves or seem stressed or checked out.
