Pros

The only Pro for working with this company is that it is a home health care provider that allows me to work directly with patients, to improve their overall quality of living. It is strictly a vessel for me to accomplish my career passion.

Cons

Absolutely awful middle management who is concerned about nothing more than meeting quotas and productivity, even if it means poor quality of care (30 min visits). They're more concerned about their five star rating so they can be a preferred provider than they are about actually providing Quality Care. New upper level management team talks a good talk but I've yet to see it trickle down into improved working environment in the field. In fact, in the two years since the big shake-up in Baton Rouge, it's only gotten worse. No raises for years because supposedly the company is trying to set itself up to endure future changes to Medicare reimbursements. Funny, how they care so much less about patients who are on Commercial Insurance. But they don't get paid as well by those policies.

Pros

- I love being able to make my own schedule and see patients on my own time. - I love the care center hospice team that I work with. My DOO (Director of Operations) is very kind, a team player, and encourages the team to be their best. - Insurance benefits are also a plus (Blue Cross/Blue Sheild).

Cons

- I don't enjoy having to drive around and to far distances to see patients. Also, don't enjoy when patients and family members cancel visits because I won't get paid unless I make the visit. - Upper management doesn't care about the well-being of the local care center employees. Upper management puts to much stress on the DOO for stats and productivity quotas. - Upper management is cheap and doesn't contribute money to celebrate their employees like with a Christmas party (local care centers have to bring pot-luck style food and throw their own Christmas parties).
