Pros

above market value wages and decent benefits

Cons

Work-life balance is non-existent. AVP really promised a lot about the position and the potential for quarterly bonuses and the team, when I started I quickly learned that everything she had told me and promised was completely made up... AVP would mandate orders and if you disagreed with her instruction she was quick to remind clinicians and office staff that there were plenty of ready and waiting applicants on indeed to replace them if they didn't want to adjust their thought process. Quarterly bonuses were promised for performance but your performance was not the only thing tied to the ability to bonus and almost across the board no one ever was able to obtain these elusive promised bonuses. AVP would mandate things and when they didnt pan out as planned then turn around and blame the staff or the branch administration for her poor decision making.... Several illegal and extremely unethical business practices are strongly encouraged... pretty extensive history of illegal business practices and they are even willing to alter your wage information before sending out your w2 to screw you out of the federally mandated tax withholding that you have record of being taken from your checks to defraud the IRS and their previous employees

Pros

- I love being able to make my own schedule and see patients on my own time. - I love the care center hospice team that I work with. My DOO (Director of Operations) is very kind, a team player, and encourages the team to be their best. - Insurance benefits are also a plus (Blue Cross/Blue Sheild).

Cons

- I don't enjoy having to drive around and to far distances to see patients. Also, don't enjoy when patients and family members cancel visits because I won't get paid unless I make the visit. - Upper management doesn't care about the well-being of the local care center employees. Upper management puts to much stress on the DOO for stats and productivity quotas. - Upper management is cheap and doesn't contribute money to celebrate their employees like with a Christmas party (local care centers have to bring pot-luck style food and throw their own Christmas parties).
