Pros

Pension 4% (actually 3%, but can be UP TO 4) 401K match Yearly bonus based on business results

Cons

Offered 'flexible schedule' when I was hired for my current role which allowed for every other Friday off, but this benefit was taken away with no additional pay to compensate for the increased hours. Hired for an advertised 100% remote position, now being forced to return to an office 10 days a month despite not working in the same state as my coworkers. 'Anonymous' surveys are sent out just before bad news is delivered to deliberately skew engagement results and avoid receiving negative feedback. Survey results are suspiciously glossed-over when announced. Extremely top-heavy organization with many layers of middle management in all departments who you will seldom if ever interact with, hear from, or experience any tangible benefit from as a front-line employee. Salaries are not very competitive (particularly in IT), yearly raises consistently below inflation even for 'exceeds expectations' ratings Not possible to keep up with workload only working 40 hours a week Ridiculously high/specific expectations for moving within the company, resulting in roles staying unfilled for long periods of time or never being filled

Pros

Hired as remote, wonderful manager who encourages and aids career growth. My team is fantastic, the work life balance & flexibility works very well for me.

Cons

Felt like a bait & switch situation pretty soon after being hired, we were then told that we will be hybrid 50% of the time in office. Those of us who were hired as remote were required to live within 30-50 miles of an office are required to be in office 10 days a month starting this fall. But some were hired that live outside those parameters? So that requirement ended up not being true? The timing of it felt planned for my onboarding group I guess. And when complaints aired (obviously) upper management held forums in which they basically said “we gave you enough of a heads up, nothing you say is impacting our decision.” That’s really the only thing that has bothered me working here. We’ll see how it goes in the fall!
