Pros

Ability to telecommute. Good benefits. Nice new office. These things make the company easy to fall for at first. While those things are nice to have, they don't make the cons bearable.

Cons

Little room for advancement. Good luck moving anywhere within your department. You can be there for 20-plus years and maybe if you are lucky or a favorite you will have been promoted a handful of times. No real growth opportunities. It doesn't matter how qualified you are. You aren't going anywhere in this company. Better get comfortable in the position you are hired in. Salary is on the lower end of the scale. There are annual raises, but they hardly take into account the cost of living, or any comparable salaries with other companies. Zero support from management. They pay you lip service about having an open door policy, etc. but the reality is that they do not go to bat for you, nor do they offer you any kind of support when issues arise.
